At Barrington Manor, our commitment to sustainability is visible in every detail—from the ground up. Over 400 trees have been planted throughout the neighborhood, with minimal tree removal during development. Where possible, existing trees were carefully transplanted on-site to preserve the natural landscape. Each home is surrounded by thoughtfully designed, comprehensive landscaping, contributing to a flourishing, tree-lined community that reflects our dedication to green living.
Meadow Point showcases how careful planning and environmental respect can go hand in hand. While 85 trees were removed during development, we planted 219 new trees and 100 shrubs—totaling 370 new plants across the community. A significant oak tree was preserved at the neighborhood entrance, serving as a natural landmark and symbol of our commitment to preservation. All 38 homes feature enhanced landscaping packages, creating a lush, welcoming environment for residents.
The Light of Life redevelopment reflects our dedication to sustainable growth, even in dense urban settings. Across two Pittsburgh sites with limited space for trees, we planted on-site wherever conditions allowed, making the most of every opportunity to green the surroundings. To further support the city’s canopy goals, we contributed $80,000 to the City Forestry Program—an investment in long-term urban health and environmental equity.
At Cardinal Ridge, protecting our waterways is central to the development approach. Special attention was given to preserving stream corridors and implementing advanced stormwater management systems to reduce runoff and erosion. With infrastructure designed to prevent neighborhood flooding, the project plays a key role in safeguarding the health of the Three Rivers and their tributaries for generations to come.

Craig Schweiger is the President and Co-Founder of Federated Mortgage Corp., Federated Appraisal and Closing Services, and Real Estate Title Agency, where he has served as majority owner for over 25 years. With a distinguished career in real estate and construction, Craig has designed and built more than 50 custom homes since 1993. His larger residential development projects include Sturbridge Village, Barrington Manor, Barrington Woods, Schweiger Plan of Lots, and Andrews Plan of Lots—totaling dozens of acres of thoughtfully planned communities.
In addition to his business leadership, Craig is President of The Joshua Foundation. He spearheaded the development of a missionary lodge and soccer complex in Cap-Haitien, Haiti, completed in 2013 using exclusively Haitian architects, engineers, and contractors. His commitment to impactful, community-centered development also led to the successful relocation and expansion of two homeless facilities in Pittsburgh—an 85,000-square-foot, dual-site project completed in 2023.
Craig continues to lead residential site development efforts, with current projects totaling 152 homes across three new communities. His career reflects a deep dedication to sustainable growth, social impact, and building with purpose.
